{"id":4955,"date":"2024-09-16T14:25:33","date_gmt":"2024-09-16T14:25:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lifemaronesa.eu\/presentation-and-visit-by-the-participants-of-the-resalliance-workshop\/"},"modified":"2024-11-25T20:07:52","modified_gmt":"2024-11-25T20:07:52","slug":"presentation-and-visit-by-the-participants-of-the-resalliance-workshop","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lifemaronesa.eu\/en\/presentation-and-visit-by-the-participants-of-the-resalliance-workshop\/","title":{"rendered":"Presentation and visit by the participants of the ResAlliance workshop"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span class=\"x193iq5w xeuugli x13faqbe x1vvkbs x1xmvt09 x1lliihq x1s928wv xhkezso x1gmr53x x1cpjm7i x1fgarty x1943h6x xudqn12 x3x7a5m x6prxxf xvq8zen xo1l8bm xzsf02u x1yc453h\" dir=\"auto\">On 12 and 13 September, LIFE Maronesa took part in the ResAlliance workshop, organised by the CEF &#8211; Centre for Forestry Studies of the Instituto Superior de Agronomia and the University of Tr\u00e1s-os-Montes e Alto Douro.<\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span class=\"x193iq5w xeuugli x13faqbe x1vvkbs x1xmvt09 x1lliihq x1s928wv xhkezso x1gmr53x x1cpjm7i x1fgarty x1943h6x xudqn12 x3x7a5m x6prxxf xvq8zen xo1l8bm xzsf02u x1yc453h\" dir=\"auto\">On the first day, in a plenary session in the auditorium of UTAD&#8217;s Geosciences department, some of the findings and results of the work carried out as part of the project, were discussed and presented by our scientific coordinator Carlos Aguiar.<\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The following day, the same audience, in an on-site session led by Maronese cattle breeders M\u00e1rio Queir\u00f3s and Rafael Costa, had the opportunity to walk through part of the silvo-pastoral mosaic of the Bilh\u00f3 common land in Mondim de Basto.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Together with members of the project team, the curiosities and questions raised during the previous day&#8217;s plenary session were answered. It was possible to see the work carried out by the Maronese cattle on the marginal lands and the results of the herbaceous cover that is intended to be achieved in these areas.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The profitability of the economic activity of the breeders was also questioned, as were the bureaucratic obstacles to a simpler and lighter application of good practices in the day-to-day life of the breeder, for optimum productive and sustainable management of community and private areas.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At lunchtime, the participants were able to taste a delicious snack prepared by our usual CLIMA+ brand partner, the Forno de Jales restaurant.
