a community mountain area that serves the villages of Souto and Outeiro, which was seriously affected by rural fires. It is currently occupied by bushes and a large part of the area is grazed in extensive production by the Sociedade Agropecu\u00e1ria do Casal da Bou\u00e7a and other local producers. At the top of the mountain, this region has several groves of oaks and other hardwoods, especially along the water lines. In the valley zone there is an area with several plots of permanent pasture, known as marshes. This area has a high landscape, fauna and flora value, and the wasteland is managed by the population of the villages of Lamas de Olo and Dornelas. It is an area of \u200b\u200bexcellence for breeding the Maronesa breed. The region is made up of an extensive network of permanent pastures, such as marshes that guarantee grazing for animals during the winter period and natural areas of herbs and shrubs along the slopes of the Alv\u00e3o mountain range, in the common areas of the parish. The extensive livestock regime characteristic of this region allows the animals to roam the mountains during the spring\/summer seasons and in periods of more rigorous weather, autumn\/winter, with intense cold and snow, the animals are closer to the sheltered areas, in the close to the mudflats. Part of the common area is part of the Alv\u00e3o Natural Park and is made up of an extensive forest area intrinsically associated with silvopastoring, a traditional activity in the region.
